In addition to following the European directive 94/62/EC “Packaging and packaging waste, one of bioMérieux’s guiding Principles is "We belong to a community". It is only natural that we embrace a responsible attitude toward our environment in all aspects of our business worldwide as regards energy, water, paper, waste, emissions.
As part of our environmental actions for our media products, we still use recycled and recyclable cardboard to make our boxes but we have worked even further on reducing the volume of plated media packaging. By moving from our already innovative “fold-box”principle to an ingenious, new, patented fold-lock™ principle (once flattened the box stays flat) we further facilitate the disposal of pre-plated culture media boxes and reduce your daily waste volume and weight. Not only do we actively try to contribute to saving our environment but we help you to do the same.
