API Coryne

Identification of corynebacteria and coryneform bacteria in 24 hours.

  • System of choice for bacteria responsible for an increasing number of opportunistic infections in the hospital environment.
  • The only identification system for corynebacteria.
  • Simple, realiable identification using a standardized method for a bacterial group that is hard to identify; also ensures the identification of species related to corynebacteria, which are difficult to characterize using Gram staining.
  • Combination of standard biochemical tests and fermentation tests, which are the reference tests for the identification of corynebacteria.
  • Presentation adapted to these rarely encountered bacteria (12 tests).

API Listeria

Identification of all species of Listeria in 24 hours.

  • Only system capable of identifying all Listeria species, including L. monocytogenes, without the CAMP test, using an original, patented biochemical test (DIM).
  • Reliable results: specific tests distinguish the genus Listeria from other genera of similar morphology; the standardized inoculum with a low bacterial concentration (0.5 MF) avoids mixed cultures and subcultures.
  • Easy-to-use: inoculum prepared directly in the suspension medium.

“Research” strip (metabolism of carbohydrates).

The “Research” strip enables the study of the metabolism of 49 carbohydrates and is adapted to:

  • Identification of Bacillus using API 50 CHB medium in approximately 48 hours.
  • Identification of Lactobacillus using API 50 CHL medium in 48 hours.
  • Identification and biotyping of enterobacteriaceae using API 50 CHE medium in 48 hours.
  • Any other “Research” application for the study of the metabolism of carbohydrates.
