Antibiotic Awareness Week

16 November, 2015

Once again, bioMérieux is proud to support Antibiotic Awareness Week in 2015.

This initiative aims to increase awareness of global antibiotic resistance and to encourage best practices among the general public, health workers, policy-makers and the agriculture sector to avoid the further emergence and spread of antibiotic resistance.

Our company has a long-standing commitment to the prevention and management of antibiotic resistance through educational initiatives, such as the World HAI/Resistance Forum. It is therefore important for us to contribute to the annual Awareness Week on this major public health issue.

How is bioMérieux supporting Antibiotic Resistance Awareness in 2015 ?

bioMérieux is proud to sponsor an Advance Healthcare Webinar on Antimicrobial Stewardship on November 17, 2015.

It is supervised by a European Task Force of leading experts and coordinated by the University of Antwerp

Preliminary results were presented during the 5th Forum in June 2015, and a poster was presented at the ID Week Congress in San Diego, Oct. 7-11, 2015.
