The worldwide burden of thyroid diseases is substantial. Thyroid disorders, including conditions like hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and thyroid cancer affect an estimated 200 million people worldwide.1 The exact prevalence and burden can vary by region, but collectively, these conditions have a significant impact on public health.
The VIDAS® Thyroid panel helps clinicians eliminate a thyroid pathology from diagnosis, confirm a clinically suspected thyroid dysfunction, identify the type and cause of thyroid disease, or monitor patients treated with synthetic anti-thyroid drugs or thyroxin as a substitute.
