VIKIA® HBs Ag is a rapid immuno-chromatographic (or lateral flow) test for the qualitative detection of Hepatitis B surface Antigen in human serum, plasma or whole blood. It can be used for prenatal or transfusional screening, and during acute infection or chronic carriage of the hepatitis B virus. Early detection of infection is essential for rapid initiation of adequate treatment.

Simple test procedure

  • Rapid and simple: validated for use with fingerprick whole blood, serum and plasma

     Sample collection: fingerstick or venipuncture

 

      Dispense 75 µl of whole blood

 

       Dispense 1 drop of buffer

 

Read the result at 30 mins*

Do not report negative results before 30 mins

        Dispense 3 drops of serum or plasma
